Dekotla E-2000 is an excellent choice for heavy wear areas. Simply mix and pour, then spread with Applicator and the product "self levels" to a hard wearing surface. Running a spiked roller over the surface prevents air bubbles.

Preparation and Application

Surface Preparation

Dekotla E-2000 can be used on previously coated surfaces, which must be abraded to provide a key and all poorly bonded coatings must be removed. A trial area is recommended to test the effect on previous coatings.
Bare concrete substrates should be at least 4 weeks old, clean and reasonably dry. Concrete with laitance (a weak dusty layer on the surface) should be prepared by mechanical abrasion or an acid based preparatory agent which helps to remove loose cement deposits and provide a key. Very smooth, non porous or power floated surfaces should be mechanically abraded.
Dekotla E-2000 should only be laid at floor surface temperatures between 15°C and 35°C.


Stir the contents of each tin thoroughly. Using a mixing blade fitted to a slow speed electric drill, start to mix while slowly adding the curing agent. Scrape around the inside of both tins to ensure all the material has been removed. When thoroughly mixed add the fine aggregate component steadily until uniform in colour and consistency and continue blending for a further 5 minutes, ensuring that all material at the sides and base are thoroughly mixed. It is possible to hand mix small quantities but great care must be taken.


Working in sections of approximately 5m², pour the mixed Dekotla E-2000 on to the prepared surface and spread evenly to the desired depth of 1-2mm using a notched squeegee. Within approximately 5-10 minutes, apply a spiked roller to remove air bubbles. Repeat a few minutes later and thereafter until air bubbles cease. Spike rollering can extend into the previously applied section, but ensure that this has not hardened to such a degree that spiked rollering will damage it. If a knife cut in the wet surface heals quickly, the surface is still safe to roller. Spiked shoes will help operators to reach all areas of the uncured floor.
